OUR STORY
We grew up together in a small town in Queens, NY where everyone knew each other. We were friends throughout our childhood and adolescent years, and as fate would have it, we fell in love several years later. We were raised with the same family values and tried to start a family of our own right away. Unfortunately, after many losses we were told we may never be able to have children of our own. Against all odds, we were blessed with a miracle baby and our family dream finally came true. We have a beautiful daughter named Ava who is now 5 years old. We have always wanted to grow our family and share the love, and now Ava is asking for that too. Every day she asks if she can please be a big sister. All we can say is we are trying. We hope and pray that one day we can fulfill her dreams of being a big sister, but if we can’t, we will continue to cherish every moment we have together.
MATT
I am a machinist for the LIRR (Long Island Railroad). I have always loved building and creating things. When I am not working, I enjoy refurbishing antiques or restoring old treasures into new. For fun I love skiing, snowboarding, boating, jet skiing, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family.
MARY
I am special education teacher in NYC. I have been teaching for over 15 years. I teach Kindergarten through grade 6. I chose a profession in teaching because I’ve always loved working with children. I am also a certified yoga instructor and teach yoga on the weekends. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Some of my favorite things to do are bike ride, paddle board, travel, water sports, concerts, and crafting.
AVA
Ava is 5 years old and is one of the happiest kids ever! Her smile lights up the room and her laughter is contagious. Ava is full of energy and loves singing, dancing, gymnastics, soccer, lacrosse, and skiing. She adores babies and we can't wait to watch her become a big sister.
